We have an active programme of fundraising which is essential to
maintain the
impetus of the Trust’s work and to expand into new areas.
Since the launch of the Trust we have raised almost £40,000 with
promises of a further £10,000 in the future. We are grateful to all
the organisations and
individuals who have supported the Trust.
The next fundraising event is the second performance of the High Octane Jazz Orchestra, featuring "The Saxy Maids" on Friday 18th July at 7.30pm at Camborne Rugby club. Please see attached poster for ticket information.

In July John Greaves led the High Octane Jazz Orchestra in a superb concert featuring some outstanding soloists and singers at the Kingsford Venue, Helston on behalf of the Trust. |

Also in July, the Rotary Club Truro Boscawen staged their annual
Cornish Proms Concert in the Hall for Cornwall with Suzanne Manuell,
the St Keverne Band, Mevagissey Male Voice Choir and the Cadgwith
Singers, on behalf of
the Trust and other beneficiaries.
The Redruth Amateur Operatic Society and Four Lanes Male Choir under
the direction of Alistair Taylor performed an outstanding programme
with soloists Philip Davey and Sera-Ann Baines at the Truro
Methodist Church. The programme was organised by Rosie Moon and
raised funds for the Trust. It was also a welcome opportunity for
the music therapists to describe their work
Motoring for Music Therapy
This summer Ian Bowden of the Cornwall Music Service completed an
epic three week drive across the United States and Canada covering
3,000 miles and raising funds for the Trust.
He travelled from Seattle to Boston along the I90, the longest
Interstate in America visiting a number of places, including
Chicago, Sioux Falls, Toledo, Cleveland, Erie, Niagara Falls and New
York and raised more than £185 for the Cornwall Music Therapy Trust
by offering access to his online “blogs” and photos to everyone who
donated the Trust. He had donations from a number of lodges of the
Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes a worldwide charitable
organisation, including one from the lodge he visited at Niagara
Falls.
